Meliah Henry Clutter (Contemporary, Technique)

Meliah Henry Clutter has over a decade of teaching experience and is excited to call The Dance Project home. As a lover of dance as movement, as art, and through the academic lens, Meliah bases her curriculums in anatomy, composition, and history as she believes these are the things that make dance rich.

Meliah began her dance education in Louisiana and is a graduate from the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts. Her education and passion for dance has afforded her opportunities to study, perform, and work for companies and corporations all over the world. Some schools of note: Broadway Dance Center Professional Semester (NYC), Joffrey Ballet Company Internship (San Francisco), and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, to study Kinesiology. Some companies and corporations of note: The National WWII Museum (NOLA), AXIOM (L.A.), Tokyo Disneyland (Japan), Oceania Cruise Lines (world tour).

Meliah holds teaching and technique certifications through Dance Masters of America in Jazz and Modern, PowerPilates, BarreBody, ZUMBA, and Les Mills. She is continuing her education with the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Today, Meliah lives in Slidell with her husband and their little dude. Meliah is currently a full-time Dance Exploratory teacher at St Margaret Mary School in Slidell.  She is looking forward to helping each dancer discover the “why” and “how” of dance.
