Bethany Harris (Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop)
Bethany Harris has been involved in dance since she was three years old, where she began her dance education at the Southern Youth Ballet. From there, she was a student of one Lee Kastner Ducote, who helped her develop a love of tap. Tap continued to be one of her favorite concentrations of dance throughout her dance career. Bethany came to the Dance Project in its founding year in 2013 and had the privilege of dancing for another two years until she graduated in 2015. After graduating, she went on to Louisiana State University to pursue her degree in Elementary Education and was heavily active in all things dance in her sorority, with award-winning performances in LSU’s Step Up or Step Aside and Songfest competitions. Bethany has previously been a 4th grade teacher and a choreographer for a local dance team. She loves working with young dancers and watching them grow, and she can’t wait to be a part of the DP family as a faculty member!
